What is Cub Scouting About?

Cub Scouting teaches values which are in every aspect of the program. The core values are in the Scout Oath, Scout Law, Outdoor Code, Scout sign, handshake, and salute.

Through the program Scouts develop new skills and interests, practice sportsmanship and good citizenship, and learn to do their best, not just for themselves but for others as well. Scouting also does recognition. Recognition is important to everyone. The program has an advancement plan that provides fun for the Scouts, gives them a sense of personal achievement as they earn badges, and rank.
